Discover Benidorm with QR
Captura Benidorm is a project by the Department of Culture, in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, to bring Benidorm’s historical heritage closer to residents through new technologies.
The project comprises 21 locations throughout the city, situated at places of particular tourist interest and featuring historical content. By scanning a QR code with a smartphone, users can travel back in time to discover Benidorm’s past through a brief historical overview, complemented by access to up-to-date information such as the cultural agenda and other municipal services.
Users can also interact with the project by uploading their own perspective of the location and the moment through a photograph.
The QR codes are distributed across the city’s four areas. Although the aim is for users to come across them unexpectedly, sparking their curiosity to scan the code and discover its content, all locations can also be found on a map. Information about the application is also available at the city’s tourist information offices.
You are invited to discover Benidorm’s history — it’s just a phone away... Captura Benidorm!
