World Tourism Day 2024

The World Tourism Organization celebrates the International Day of Tourism every September 27th. On this occasion, under the motto “Tourism and Peace” two highly significant themes are encompassed: tourism as a bridge for the dissemination of understanding, cooperation, tolerance and respect between all nations. And peace, as a means to ensure that people can fully develop in a positive environment, where they can live in harmony with other individuals.

In 2010, Benidorm City Council unanimously agreed at the municipal plenary session to institutionalize this event with the presentation of the CIUDAD DE BENIDORM awards, which are granted to people, institutions and companies linked to tourism activity and that have stood out for their work in favour of Benidorm destination.

National Category: JOSÉ LUÍS YZUEL SANZ
Regional Category: MIGUEL ÁNGEL SOTILLOS RODRÍGUEZ
Local Category: BOWLING BENIDORM
Special Mention: JOSE MARÍA CABALLÉ HORTA
As usual, the SICTED 2024 awards will be presented at this event. They have been obtained or renewed by 84 companies in Benidorm that are committed to quality, and which are recognized at this event for their effort and commitment to quality and continuous improvement, thus distinguishing themselves from the competition.
