Digital Tourist Congress

Benidorm hosts the Digital Tourist Conference, the first Digital Industry Forum focused on Tourism, and more specifically on Smart Tourist Destinations. Consisting so far of two editions:

DigitalTourist’18, among the themes of the congress were: the challenges faced by Spanish tourist destinations in the digital revolution, the intelligent transformation of Spain's tourism proposal, the possibilities of mobility thanks to technology or public policies in this matter where Tourism plays a very prominent role.

DigitalTourist’19, the main theme of the congress has revolved around tourism and the 17 objectives that make up the commitment to Sustainable Development, continuators of the Millennium Development Goals.  Vídeo Resumen Digital Tourist 2018.

Among the themes of the congress will be the challenges faced by Spanish tourist destinations amid the digital revolution, the intelligent transformation of Spain's tourism proposal, and the possibilities of mobility thanks to technology or public policies in this matter, as those defined in both the “National Plan for Smart Territories” and the “Integrated Sustainable Urban Development Strategy” (EDUSI). In addition, the most relevant initiatives of administrations and companies that are currently being developed in Spain will be shown, including those implemented in the last two years in Benidorm linked to the DTI objective.

The third edition of Digital Tourist will return to Benidorm in the last week of October 2020.
