Benidorm has joined the train of smart cities through the Spanish Network of Smart Cities-RECI, which is committed to technological solutions for its digital transformation, and becoming an Innovation and Technology Laboratory that serves to gradually establish itself as a  Smart Tourist Destination through the new form of UNE 178501 Management System for Smart Tourist Destinations.

Main Objective: Creation of an Innovation and Technology Lab that attracts technology companies that help the incorporation and transformation of the tourist destination into a DTI.

Specific objectives:

Incorporate Technologies in the areas of action defined in the DTI master plan.
Incorporate Technologies in the areas of action defined in the different strategic plans defined by the areas of action.
Incorporate innovations and technologies in the travel cycle that improve tourism products and/or services.
