Innovative public procurement

Benidorm City Council has launched, with the support of Agencia Valenciana de la Innovación (AVI), an Innovative Public Procurement (IPP) procedure to improve public services in the field of tourism through the acquisition of innovative solutions.

The project is part of the Benidorm Master Plan as a Smart Tourist Destination (DTI) and has the collaboration of the Valencian Institute of Tourism Technologies (Invat.tur), one of the main instruments in improving the competitiveness and sustainability of the tourism model. of the Valencian Community through the execution of R&D&I projects and the adaptation of the sector to new trends in tourism markets.

With this CPI procedure, Benidorm City Council aims to satisfy unmet needs, as well as improve the services it provides to citizens and tourists, encouraging companies in the Community to develop innovative solutions.

The Benidorm project is one of the 18 projects that the AVI has supported this year in its call for competitive aid to boost demand for tenders for innovative products and services among public administrations.
