Benidorm TIC

This is a digital literacy training program, framed in the Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development Strategy (EDUSI) of Benidorm, which seeks to reduce the digital divide for the residents of Benidorm with free courses of up to 40 hours in new technologies.

This training plan includes more than 100 courses such as digital administration, use of electronic DNI, use of social networks or handling of smartphones.

It is an initiative that seeks to improve the labour and social insertion of the most disadvantaged groups, setting up classrooms in José Llorca Linares, La Torreta social centres and 'Pepita Puchades' Employment Training Center.

The investment in Benidorm ICT not only includes educational actions but will also enable a classroom with fixed computers and another with portable equipment to develop training courses. The course schedule will be adapted to the centre where the training is given, but all will be free and will last between 30 and 40 hours.

With this initiative, Benidorm consolidates its commitment to quality training as an integration tool to fight against social exclusion. The training program in ICT and new technologies, which has almost 70,000 euros of European investment and another 70,000 from the Benidorm City Council, responds to the second thematic objective of EDUSI Benidorm, which seeks to improve the use and quality of information and communication technologies. and the ninth on social inclusion and the fight against poverty.
