Benidorm climate change adaptation plan
The Climate Change Adaptation Plan of Benidorm is an important municipal commitment to environmental and territorial sustainability. It expresses its concern about climate change and the search for greater resilience of the municipality in the face of the already manifest effects of climate change. As climate models indicate, these are currently occurring and may increase in the coming decades.
The main objective of this Plan is the integration of the measures to adapt to the premises of both the Climate Change Law of the Government of Spain, and the Valencian Community, as well as the Valencian Strategy for Climate Change and Energy 2030. , which set decarbonization objectives and clear guidelines to follow, always to ensure that the Valencian Community is a territory adapted to the new climatic conditions and generates sustainable development in the coming decades. In short, it is a strategic document for the present and future of the municipality of Benidorm in line with the need to comply with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals at the local level.
