World Tourism Day 2021

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a colossal social and economic impact. Developed and developing economies have been hit, with marginalised groups and the most vulnerable people bearing the brunt. The revival of tourism will help drive recovery and growth, but the benefits generated must be distributed widely and fairly. This is the main objective of World Tourism Day 2021.

This year, due to the special characteristics in which we are immersed thanks to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Institutional Act is limited to presenting the SICTED awards to the companies in Benidorm that, throughout this year, joined this quality programme for the first time or renewed the programme's requirements. A total of 27 companies, firms, organisations and tourist elements received the award that recognises their participation in this project, which is committed to comprehensive quality to achieve a higher quality tourist destination.
