Benidorm, a success story at a smart tourism forum in Santa Marta (Colombia)

Benidorm participated yesterday in the forum "Tur-IA Smart Cube 5th Centenary. Data, AI and Tourism," held in Santa Marta (Colombia), where the city was addressed and presented as a success story in sustainability and smart management. Mayor Toni Pérez presented the foundations and essence of Benidorm's urban and tourism model via videoconference, emphasising that both were established at the same time and have run parallel over the past seven decades.

During his speech, the mayor highlighted the various municipal strategic plans designed and implemented over the last decade to consolidate Benidorm's environmental sustainability and advance the mitigation of climate change and its effects, as well as various actions and projects that can be replicated and scaled to other destinations.
