‘Associació de Penyes Verge del Sofratge’ starts its festive events this coming weekend

 Associació de Penyes ‘Verge del Sofratge’ has announced the program of events that will take place on the occasion of Festes Majors Patronals, which will be reduced for another year as a result of the health situation created by the pandemic.
The program, which will take place over the next weekend, will begin at eight in the morning on Saturday, October 30, with an ‘wake up’ with firecrackets from Óscar Esplá auditorium to Casa del Fester. Half an hour later the members of the clubs will have a breakfast in Casa del Fester and at 10 a mass will be held for the ‘Clubs Day’ in the parish church of Sant Jaume and Santa Ana.
At the end of the religious ceremony, at 11 am there will be a tribute to the supporters "who have left us during the pandemic on a visit to the cemeteries," explained the councilor for Fiestas, Jesús Carrobles.
In the afternoon, the main event will be held, the party #SEMPREPERLAFESTA, which will take place in Julio Iglesias auditorium in Parque de l’Aigüera, an event that must be attended with the Covid certificate.
The party will begin at 7:30 p.m. with the presence on stage of Covita. After her, Edu de Temple's turn will arrive at 8:40 p.m. and Gafapasta group will continue from 10:20 p.m. The soloist Yanyra will perform at 00.15 hours and Pollo will end at 1.10. The festival will end at 2.40 in the morning.
Although this year the usual playback contest will not be held, the queens and their courts of honor will show their choreography.
On Sunday, October 31, Les Penyes Day will end with a festive music concert that will be performed by L’Illa de Benidorm Musical Society in Julio Iglesias auditorium, which will also have to be accessed with the Covid certificate.
Jesús Carrobles has thanked "the excellent disposition shown by the association of peñas at all times, since they have been aware from the beginning of the difficulty of organizing events like the traditional ones each year". Carrobles has highlighted the "great collaboration" shown by the supporters with Fiestas department.
