To mark the celebration of the Holy Cross, commemorated in the Christian West today, May 3rd, El Campo-Plaza de España Neighborhood Association erected its cross in a ceremony attended by hundreds of residents and members.
Among those present were the mayor, Toni Pérez; the councillor for Fiestas, Mariló Cebreros; other members of the council; and the regional deputy, José Ramón González de Zárate. The priest then blessed the cross, and all those present, and resident Caridad Delgado recited some verses. Afterwards, attendees enjoyed hot chocolate and cakes, which the association had provided.
