Benidorm subsidizes cultural entities that have organized activities during the pandemic
The Department of Culture of Benidorm City Council makes a call for subsidies to promote and support the cultural activities organized by the different cultural associations of the city between March 14, 2020 and October 31, 2021. The Local Government Board ( JGL) of Benidorm has approved an expenditure of 15,000 euros for these aids, which seek to "mitigate the negative effects that Covid-19 may have caused on local cultural associations and also recognize the economic effort they make to develop their activities", the Councilor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez has indicated.
As stated in the bases for granting the aid, the activities subject to the subsidy will be related to music, theater, exhibitions, cinema, conferences, etc.
The councilor has clarified in this sense that cultural associations “that are legally constituted and registered in the Register of Associations of the City Council, which reflect in their statutes that among their purposes is the realization, promotion or dissemination of activities, will be able to benefit from this call. cultural activities in the city and that have a stable, active and public headquarters or delegation in Benidorm ”.
The maximum amount of the grant may not exceed 1,000 euros per beneficiary, project and call and is compatible with other grants, aid, income or resources for the same purpose from other administrations or entities.
The money from the subsidy received is directed to "mitigate current expenses derived from the development of the projects or programs to be subsidized, the current expenses of the normal operation of the association, the rents of material necessary for the development of activities and real estate leases" has specified the mayor.
Applications must be submitted in writing within 15 calendar days, once the call has been published in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP), on the website of the City Council: www.sede.benidorm.org
