Youth and children of Benidorm enjoy nature with the summer camp
50 Children and young people between the ages of eight and 16 have participated in the traditional Summer Camp, organized by the Benidorm City Council, through the Department of Youth, which this year has taken place, between July 2 and 16, in the Burgos town of Espinosa de Los Monteros.
The facility that has housed the people of Benidorm is strategically located in a forest of centuries-old oaks, north of the province of Burgos, in the heart of the Cantabrian Mountains. It takes advantage of its clearings to locate its camping areas and has adjoining areas where you can practice sports and enjoy mountain activities.
The kids have made two cultural excursions. The first, to the historic Cantabrian coastal town of Castro-Urdiales; the second, through the province of Burgos, visiting Oña, Frías and Poza de la Sal.
The entertainment team, made up of qualified monitors in free time, themed some days such as 'The Day of Terror', 'The Day of Water', 'The Great Gymkhana', or 'The Natural Pools'. In addition, archery, badminton and track competitions were organized.
Among the programmed activities, the karaoke contests, the projection of films, the introduction to astronomy and the different workshops that were carried out in which the elaboration of the traditional Japanese 'koinobori' flags, shaped like of tent and that wave located in the masts with the force of the wind.
