The car park with a viewpoint with capacity for 450 vehicles will also be completed.
The urbanization works of PP 1/2 Poniente will be completed before Easter
The urbanization works of Partial Plan 1/2 Poniente have already entered their final stretch and will be completed in the next three months, as advanced today by the Councilor for Works, José Ramón González de Zárate, and the director of works, José Ramón García, during the visit made with representatives of the Neighborhood Council and Poniente neighborhood association, framed in 'A pie de calle' campaign.
The director of the work has confirmed that "we are in the final phase" of the work since there is hardly "asphalt and the tread layer" to be able to circulate. The TM company, developer of the area, has calculated before the end of the year "we will have electricity, which has been delayed somewhat due to the lack of supplies that affects everyone", but has clarified that "all urban services already they are almost finished ”.
In this sense, the councilor José Ramón González de Zárate recalled that in the last visit, almost six months ago, "there was almost no presence of works and now we see that it is a reality." González de Zárate has also referred to the global supply crisis, but has affirmed that "even so, we are on time and a large part of the works will be opened before the end of the year."
In his opinion, it is "a great change in the urbanism of Poniente and in the traffic of this area." At that point he alluded to the car park "which is also slightly delayed due to lack of supplies", but which "will be fully operational before Easter and with a capacity for 450 vehicles" to which will be added more than 200 places in the new vials. "In this way, almost glued to the beach, more than 650 parking spaces will have been created," added the mayor.
Cristian Corraini, president of Poniente neighborhood association, has also expressed his "satisfaction" with the new parking spaces "which will come in handy because we have always had a lack of parking in this area."
González de Zárate has remarked that the urban change in Poniente “is going to be enjoyed by people because it is spectacular and represents the avant-garde and modern image of Benidorm today”.
For her part, the Councilor for Citizenship Participation, Ana Pellicer, has referred to the two green areas that will see the light in the coming months in this partial plan "and that we have been able to see with the neighbors on the plan." Pellicer has also specified that the development company will also attend to neighborhood requests to install benches, wastebaskets and other urban furniture ”.
Pellicer has summarized her visit by stating that "we change the office to the street to meet the neighborhood demands and work as a team with them so that the improvements they ask of us become a reality as soon as possible."
