The Local and National Police have drawn up a special plan to avoid the practice of unauthorized activities such as street drinking.
Benidorm will deploy a special device at the Festas Majors Patronals to monitor compliance with anti-Covid-19 measures
Benidorm Local Police, in coordination with the National Police Corps, has already finalized the special security device that will be deployed on the occasion of the celebration of Festes Majors Patronals, after the meeting held today with the Department of Citizen Security and Fiestas.
The device will be "very similar to last year," explained the Fiestas Councilor, Jesús Carrobles, who has clarified that "special attention will be paid to anti-Covid protection measures in the venues where events are held."
The purpose of the device is to observe compliance with all the established measures, such as avoiding crowds and checking that those attending the concerts in Julio Iglesias auditorium have the Covid certificate.
Carrobles also highlighted that both the Local and National Police have drawn up a special plan for Friday and Saturday "in order to avoid the unauthorized practice of street drinking."
The councillor of Fiestas has appealed to the "responsibility" of citizens to celebrate the festivities within the established sanitary measures, and has indicated that the device will begin to operate this weekend on the occasion of the Day of the Clubs.
As it is known, the City Council and Associació de Penyes by mutual agreement have decided to act in accordance with the current regulations applicable to type B party venues.
With regard to Festes Majors Patronals, the councilor has underlined the effort made to modify the routes of the processions, the Offering and even the celebration of masses "in order to find open spaces and minimize risks." "It is" he continued "to try not to run in the streets and narrow places where there are many people."
