The Local Association of APAs opens its headquarters

27 October 2017
La Agrupación Local de APAs estrena sede

The Town Hall has conditioned a space of about 70 m2 in the administrative area of the municipal warehouse

The Local Association of APAs (Association of Parents of Students) in Benidorm has opened a new headquarters in front of the TRAM station, a space of about 70 square meters in the administrative area of the municipal warehouse. The City Hall has conditioned this space, which now has a meeting room and training room, a file / warehouse, an office and a bathroom.

The president of the Association, Francisco Santamaria, stressed yesterday that it is a "wider space" than the previous one occupied by the association in the old houses of teachers of Leonor Canalejas school. Moreover, this new headquarters is in the area of influence of a good number of centers of the educational network of Benidorm, since in the vicinity are located three public schools: Bautista Lledó, Aitana and Vasco Núñez de Balboa. In addition, in the proximities and with good pedestrian connection are Ausiàs March, Miguel Hernández and the school zone of Els Tolls, with the school of the same name, Puig Campana and the infantile school Fontanelles.

Santamaría said that from the Association is intended that "this new space is for Benidorm and not only for the APAs. In this regard, the mayor, Toni Pérez, said that "the training room will be able to make many people participate in these facilities." Pérez encouraged the members of the Local Association and the AMPAs of the different centers "to continue being an important associative movement and also of reference of each neighborhood".
