EDUSI platform is presented to the tourism sector, entrepreneurs and employment promoters
This morning information points have been located in Elche Park and in La Cala. The tight program of actions organized from the Civic Platform of Support to the EDUSI Project (Integrated Sustainable Urban Development Strategy) of Benidorm, within the 'Edusionate' campaign, yesterday evening gathered representatives of the tourist sector, business groups and promoters of employment. Technicians of Guia Consulting, the company that is developing for the City Council the Project, explained to the attendees what the EDUSI consists of, what are its advantages and how can it benefit the city if the expected objectives are achieved.
The meeting was attended by the mayor, Toni Pérez; the Councilor for Citizen Participation, María Jesús Pinto, and the mayor of Citizen Security, Lorenzo Martínez. After the initial presentation, the participants were divided into working groups where they discussed the incorporation of new measures and how they could be applied from different sectors.
The schedule of activities of the platform has continued this morning with the installation of two information points: a table in the door of a supermarket in La Cala and a tent in the Park of Elche. Tomorrow the working groups will continue to inform the neighbors and collect their proposals in the form of surveys in the Plaza de Neptuno (from 11.00 to 13.00) and in the 'Julio Iglesias' Auditorium (from 13.00 to 15.00 and from 19.00 to 21.30 hours ).
The approval of the EDUSI could imply for Benidorm the receipt of around 10 million euros from the European Social Fund.
