The activity, organized by the Department of Commerce, complements the offer in the Old Town during the summer
'Les Nits del Castell' brings together painters and artisans for yet another year at the squares of Castelar and Senyoria
‘Les Nits del Castell’ will once again bring together painters and artisans in the Castelar and Senyoria squares during the summer. This activity, organized by the Department of Commerce, "aims to complement the wide range of leisure, commerce and restaurants that the Old Town has and be a pole of attraction for tourists and residents", as pointed out by the councillor of the department, Lorenzo Martínez, who added that "over the years 'Les Nits del Castell' has become an unavoidable summer event in Benidorm, even during the pandemic, in which it remained active, observing at all times the current health guidelines and protocols.
Martínez has reported that "from tomorrow, Friday, July 1, those who come to the surroundings of the Castell will be able to find a dozen painters and 15 different craft stalls, with the most varied products."
As in previous years, the Plaza de Castelar will host from tomorrow until September 30 the participating painters of 'Les Nits del Castell': four portrait artists, four caricaturists, a landscape painter and another silhouette painter. Until September 15, between 7:00 p.m. and 12:30 a.m., the nearby Plaça de la Senyoria will be the meeting point for artisans, all of them from Benidorm, and towns in the region and province of Alicante.
Among the craft stalls, those who come can find jewellery made of sterling silver and precious stones, miniatures and hair clips made of resin and silver, leather and steel jewellery, cold porcelain ornaments, handmade soaps, macramé, handicrafts with sea glass and beads, beads made of polymer clay, crystal or mother-of-pearl pendants, wooden crafts of children's dolls, watches made of different materials, children's products or leather necklaces and precious stones.
In addition, Benidorm Association for the Disabled (ASMIBE) will have a stand where it will exhibit fans, bookbinding and leather goods.
