Benidorm Gastronómico will celebrate the third Tuna Days from May 12 to 21
Thirteen restaurants will offer tapas, brochettes, dishes, or tasting menus

'Benidorm Gastronómico' will celebrate the third Tuna Days from May 12 to 11, the second activity of the gastronomic calendar of local events organized by the Association of Bars, Restaurants, and Cafes of Benidorm, Abreca, together with the Benidorm City Council.
In the presentation, the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, highlighted the suitability of the event and its dates, "when the tuna has been entering the Mediterranean sea for a few weeks and it is tastier" and the "intense and intimate relationship that Benidorm has always had with tuna fishing”.
Pérez recalled that the Town Charter (1325) already refers to 'Albalat piscaria', "precedents of the modern tuna fishing", noting that "the history of Benidorm cannot be understood without tuna".
The bet now said, "It is gastronomic excellence", congratulating the increase in the number of establishments registered for the conference, thirteen, to which he thanked "the effort to put gastronomy in value and as a tourist attraction".
Pérez recalled the attraction of the 'quartering' of tuna “and the possibility of the pieces that make up the gastronomic universe that is offered from tuna and by Abreca, its president pointed out that the registered restaurants will offer from tapas to dishes and tasting menus.
The mayor, Toni Pérez, congratulated the president of Abreca, Javier del Castillo for the organization, thanked the work of the Department of Tourism, the support of the godfather of the Benidorm Gastronómico Manuel Martínez, and the participation of the firm supplying almadraba bluefin tuna, Fuentes, whose commercial director Isaac Hermo has travelled to Benidorm for the occasion.
The participating establishments are Belvedere Restaurant, Edén Restaurant, El Mesón Brewery, El Puerto Seafood Restaurant, El Esturión Restaurant, La Arrocería de la Mejillonera, La Brasería, and La Tapería Aurrerá, La Cava Aragonesa, Malaspina Restaurant, Molta Pasta Restaurant, Pinocchio Playa Restaurant and Wine On Wine Bar Restaurant.
