During these days work will be carried out in Armada Española Avenue, Buen Pastor, Camí de Torreros and Pla del Cuartel
Benidorm completes several actions on public roads with asphalting in different areas of the city
Benidorm City Council completes these days several interventions that have been carried out on recent dates in different areas of the city so that they are all be completed before the start of July. Thus, asphalting is being done on roads such as Pla del Cuartel and Camí de Torreros, tomorrow the same will be done on Buen Pastor Street and this weekend on Armada Española.
In the case of Playa del Cuartel, the intervention derives from a neighborhood demand that was formulated a few months ago. "It is within the accessibility program and it must be taken into account that it is an area where there is a school and many neighbors," said the acting Councilor for Urban Scene, José Ramón González de Zárate, who also specified that on this road "New lighting is also going to be installed, so the infrastructures have been prepared for it."
The same is true of Camí de Torreros, also in the l'Horta area, where there will also be new lighting and infrastructure have been improved. "With these actions, we are improving many of the roads in this important area of Benidorm, which in many places even lacked lighting," said the mayor.
As for the work on Buen Pastor Street, these will begin tomorrow, Friday, and will serve to conclude the work to improve rainwater collection. "We had a problem and that is that the rainwater was stagnant in many points of this street, which we have now solved" pointed out González de Zárate. The asphalting of this road will put an end to the intervention that has been carried out in recent weeks, although the implementation of the single platform is planned to give the street pedestrian priority.
Finally, the asphalting works on Avenida Armada Española will also begin this weekend, according to the councilor. These works will cover the section between Jaime I and the existing roundabout at the confluence with Villajoyosa Avenue.
Once the intervention is finished, the avenue will have a single platform, with pedestrian priority, access for public transport, and entrance for resident neighbors. González de Zárate asked for "a little patience from the residents affected by these actions, but they are important works for the city, which are about to end."
