Benidorm City Council wants to publicize the activity and services that are managed and monitored in the 'Smart Office', the municipal innovation technical office. To this end, an open day has been organized, which in its first phase is aimed at municipal staff and will be extended to the rest of the population in the coming days. The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, has attended this first day of open doors with the Councilor for Innovation and Quality, Aida Garcia, and a broad representation of the municipal corporation.
The mayor of Benidorm Toni Pérez has positively valued this initiative, "which allows showing, through the activity that takes place in this technical office, the route that Benidorm has travelled to become the first Smart Tourist Destination certified in the world in search of the quality in the five axes that marks the norm: Universal Accessibility, Innovation, Sustainability, Technology and Governance ".
Since the start-up of the office, the group of professionals led by Celia Romero, coordinator of the Management Entity of the DTI, has evaluated different innovation projects proposed by a department, companies, universities or collaborating entities, and has studied the possible financing for Take them out.
