Benidorm aprova la setzena remesa d'ajudes a empreses i autònoms...

Benidorm City Council today has approved a new remittance of municipal aid to companies, businesses, SMEs and freelancers to face the effects of Covid-19. With this remittance, the Councilor for Employment and Local Development Mónica Gómez highlighted "there are already 16 remittances processed with an amount in aid close to 650,000 euros and that have been injected directly into the local productive fabric."

Since the process was opened in July "933 files have been processed that have involved aid to more than 700 companies and professionals who met the bases reflected in the call," said the councilor.

The aid ranges between 500 and 1,000 euros per beneficiary depending on the condition that the state of alarm decree caused on the activity. Thus, those who were affected by the closure of establishments receive an aid of 1,000 euros; 750 euros, who saw their billing reduced by at least 40% between March 14 and April 19 compared to the average of the previous six months or the period of high activity; and 500 euros, applicants who have been beneficiaries of municipal aid to families.

The Councilor for Employment and Local Development has recalled that "with these aid the City Council contributes to mitigating the situation that companies and professionals in Benidorm are going through as a result of the health crisis", and added that "these aid are one more of of the different measures adopted by the local government to inject resources into the productive fabric of Benidorm and thus minimize the effects of Covid-19 on economic activity and employment ”.

78% of the files have been favorably informed and the vast majority of those denied correspond to tax domiciles not located in Benidorm.

The first 14 remittances have already been paid and the last two remittances will be paid in the next few days. The councilor recalled that "the aid to local commerce financed through a subsidy of 196,960 euros granted by the Alicante Provincial Council" has already been paid, which has reached almost two hundred commercial establishments.
