El proyecto ‘Publi Flypa’ que aúna publicidad y movilidad blanda gana el XIX Concurso de Ideas Emprendedoras de Benidorm

'Publi Flypa', a project presented by Pepe Sosa that combines advertising and soft mobility by transforming bicycles into audiovisual promotional platforms, won the 19th Benidorm Entrepreneurial Ideas Competition this Friday. This competition, promoted by the Benidorm City Council to foster entrepreneurship and promote young talent, received a total of 19 entries this year, from which seven were selected as finalists. The jury awarded the highest score to this proposal related to advertising on innovative media, thus granting it the €2,500 first prize, which was presented by the city's mayor, Toni Pérez.

The Councilor for Employment and Local Promotion, Mónica Gómez, chaired the jury meeting for this 14th Entrepreneurial Ideas Competition, which also included Dionisio Navarro, from Jovempa Marina Baixa; Elba Di Blassi, from the Marina Baixa Women Entrepreneurs Association (MEMBA); José Miguel Rodríguez, from the European Business and Innovation Centre (CEEI-Elche); Noelia Delgado, from the Valencian Institute of Tourism Technologies (INVATTUR); and David Pérez, president of the Rotary Club.

The day began with a jury meeting to evaluate the seven finalist proposals for this edition, after which a round of presentations was held in which the participants could present their projects to the jury and answer their questions or suggestions.

Finally, after the jury's deliberation, the five prizes stipulated in the rules of this edition were awarded.

In addition to the prize for ‘Publi Flypa’, the ‘Lex Neutral’ proposal by José Mira received the Rotary Club's ‘Batiste Fuster Special Prize’, worth 2,000 euros, which aims to recognize the project that best addresses the aspects of accessibility, solidarity, quality, sustainability, innovation, and creativity. This same project also won the jury's second prize, worth €1,500; while Anna Krasimirova's 'Flavours with History' and Manuel Salamanca's 'Safe Wheel' received honourable mentions for projects with the greatest tourism promotion and greatest social responsibility, respectively, each worth €500.

After the awards ceremony, the mayor highlighted how the alliance forged around this initiative by the Administration, the business sector, and academia "continues to foster the creativity of entrepreneurs" who, through these awards, obtain "significant financial support to bring their ideas to fruition." He also emphasised that over the years, many ideas have been transformed into business ventures after participating in this competition.

The Councillor for Employment and Local Promotion congratulated all participants and reminded them that “the City Council has various support programs available to all entrepreneurs for the development of their projects,” such as the Espai Coworking space or direct aid to new self-employed workers and small businesses, which in the last year have reached nearly 70 entrepreneurs and have provided an economic boost of 55,000 euros.
