Benidorm reinforces its support in Covid subsidies for Taxi, VTC and passenger transport
Benidorm City Council has approved the specific modification of the Regulatory Bases of the line of grants for Taxis, VTC and road passenger transport companies, with registered and fiscal domicile in Benidorm, to mitigate the consequences caused by the pandemic, helping to recover and maintain activity.
This modification, has pointed out the Councilor for Universal Accessibility and Mobility, González de Zárate, "will allow to allocate the surplus of the item" and result in the aid that opened the deadline on November 23. The objective, once again, the councilor insisted "is to mitigate the effects of the Covid-19 crisis in the sector."
The item had an endowment of 120,000 euros, considering a grant of 350 euros per beneficiary.
The line is still aimed at supporting the taxi sector, and more specifically the freelancers of taxi or VTC licenses with registered office in Benidorm who had to cease their activity as a result of the state of alarm, or who between March 14 and On April 19 they saw their billing reduced by at least 40% compared to the previous six months. It is also open to those who have not been registered for the six calendar months required to prove the reduction in income, assessing the actual period of activity where appropriate.
The Councilor for Mobility has recalled that "with this specific modification we want the entire item to be the one that goes to the recovery and maintenance of employment and the activity of transporting people with car-taxi, being aware that this sector has been one of the most damaged nationally by the crisis derived from the pandemic ”.
