An extraordinary period of 48 hours is opened to check and answer registration issues
Commerce department publishes the provisional list with those registered in the 27th Christmas Window Dressing Contest
The Department of Commerce of Benidorm City Council has published the provisional list with the 1,574 establishments registered on time in the 27th Christmas Window Dressing Contest and, at the same time, has opened an extraordinary period of 48 hours, until midnight on Wednesday, December 16 , to check and address registration issues in it.
The aim is to reach the largest number of registered businesses and establishments and, through the amount of prizes, contribute to mitigating the effects of the pandemic on the local economic fabric.
This year, the 27th Christmas Window Dressing Contest foresees prizes of 500 euros for all participating establishments. A decision that is part of the latest measures to support the local productive fabric, as announced days ago by the mayor, Toni Pérez. This measure also wants to contribute to the commercial revitalization of Benidorm during the Christmas season.
The City Council allocates one million euros to the prizes of this 27th Christmas Window Dressing Contest. In addition to the awards for all participants, three prizes of 3,000, 2,000 and 1,000 euros respectively will be awarded to the establishments with the best Christmas decorations; a decision, explained the councilor Lorenzo Martínez, who "will adopt a jury after assessing aspects such as image, lighting, originality, creativity, color and the use of Christmas decorations."
