Sports improves the lighting of Antonio López football field and installs a biosaludable zone
Protections have also been installed in the fields and the project for the new changing rooms will be ready soon.
The Department of Sports is making a series of improvements in the facilities of Antonio López in Rincón de Loix football fields. Specifically, next to the multisport track put into operation a few months ago, a biosaludable area with elements and devices for gymnastic practice has been created, and a petanque court has been built.
The mayor, Toni Pérez, and the Councilor for Sports, Arturo Cabrillo, have visited the area today to see the new facilities and also check the results of the actions that have been carried out to guarantee accessibility to these spaces. Thus, in addition to making a perimeter sidewalk to the multisport track, accessibility to the restroom area bathrooms has been improved with the replacement of an interior door. All these actions, which include the installation of street furniture, are valued at € 18,407.73.
The councilman of Sports has indicated that work is also being done so that "before the end of the year the problem with the lighting of the stadium is resolved", while the safety of the athletes has been improved with the installation of protections in the perimeter of fields. These are pads that cover the sections of walls of the bands, the corner kicks and other elements such as sprinklers. With these protections "we avoid that the users are damaged in case of colliding with some of these elements during the course of a game or training".
Cabrillo has anticipated that shortly "the project of the new changing rooms, very demanded by the users and that probably will be executed next year" will be finished. The head of Sports has pointed out that once these improvements are completed "we will have resolved the needs and deficiencies that these sports facilities of the Rincón de Loix had, and we will have provided them with new spaces".
