Benidorm observes a minute of silence in memory of the latest victim of gender violence
Benidorm City Council, has observed this afternoon a minute of silence in memory of the latest victim of gender violence in Spain. The mayor, Toni Pérez; the councillor of Equality, Paquita Ripoll; and representatives of the municipal groups, officials and neighbors thus have shown their strongest rejection of this social scourge.
This time it was a 28-year-old woman of Cuban nationality, allegedly murdered by her husband, a 45-year-old man who has already been arrested and brought to justice. With this crime, there are already 43 women who have lost their lives in our country so far this year, a figure that could increase if the three cases that are still under investigation were confirmed.
