The application was tested in November in the Fancy Dress and will serve as an example to other tourist destinations
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, have presented this morning at the Valencian Institute of Tourist Technologies the new security application for tourist destinations developed by Invat.tur and the company Notico Safe. The 'app' was tested during the celebration of the Fancy Dress that brought together 40,000 people on November 18. The mayor was accompanied on this occasion by the General Director of Tourism of the Generalitat, Raquel Huete, the project leader, Francisco Martínez and the representative of Notico, Bertrand Casse.
The mayor of Benidorm highlighted the city's "perception of safety" that is offered to the traveler, which "differentiates" us from other tourist destinations and defended the effort in technological innovation, especially in the security section because Benidorm will never resign "to be the spearhead of tourism in the Comunitat Valenciana" as has been demonstrated in the presentation of this new application.
For her part, Raquel Huete showed that other tourist destinations will follow the steps taken by Benidorm, "tourism flagship in the Valencian Community" because security is "our main course" and a value that "tourists consider more important each day ".
The new security tool is an alert system designed for smartphones and tablets that allows the visualization and permanent control of information between the parties involved in security devices, especially events that concentrate important groups of people. Through the management and dissemination of notifications and alerts in real time, coordinated from a management point - the local police control center, for example - the security devices, civil protection, fire, health, etc. which monitor the proper development of a specific event, are always informed.
