Traffic cuts for a month on Mediterráneo Avenue at the height of La Hispanidad Square

09 December 2021
Movilidad

The installation work for the techno milestone on Avenida del Mediterráneo, which began last week, will cause traffic cuts on the road due to the magnitude and volume of the elements to be installed. This singular element, 22 meters high, will be the final point in the complete renovation of the avenue and the most recognizable landmark of the same, since it will be visible from the entire road.
The traffic cuts will begin next Monday, December 13, and it is expected that they will last for approximately a month, although at some specific moments the zone may be opened to traffic.
Drivers who have to access the Downtown area or the Town Hall will have to do so from Calle Primavera. In the case of drivers who have to access the old town, they can do so from the confluence of Avenida Europa with Avenida del Mediterráneo. From there they will arrive at Bilbao street where they will have to go towards Alcoy avenue and from there re-enter through Valencia street in the direction of Pérez Llorca and return to the usual direction.

Benidorm City Council has communicated that there will be specific moments in which the entire roundabout of Plaza de la Hispanidad is not occupied and that, depending on the development of the work, access to the square will be allowed.
