During this summer, free use of the approximately 350 spaces will be maintained
The parking on Puerto Rico Avenue will be open on July 1st

Benidorm City Council will open the parking on Puerto Rico Avenue on July 1st, thus expanding the number of spaces available along the Poniente beachfront, as announced today by the Councillor for Mobility, Francis Muñoz. The councillor noted that "currently, and as usual, we have 200 spaces available on the parking deck, which is connected to the beachfront via a 24-hour elevator." However, "with the arrival of July and given the clear increase in demand, we are additionally opening the 150 spaces spread across the building's interior floors from 9:00 a.m. to midnight."
Muñoz explained that "just like last summer, these spaces will remain free during July and August," although he clarified that "as we previously announced, the City Council intends to put the management of this parking lot out to tender, following the model of the L'Aigüera parking lot, to provide the best possible service to residents, visitors, and tourists during the busiest times of the year."
In this regard, the Local Government Board approved today the terms of the contract, which is being tendered for over €72,000 over two annual instalments.
In addition to the public parking lot on Avenida de Puerto Rico, the Poniente area has more than 900 park-and-ride spaces in the parking lots on Avenida de Xixo, Avenida Cuba, and Avenida Alcalde Vicente Pérez Devesa.
