Obra Social 'la Caixa' contributes € 6,050 for two programs of the Employment and Local Development Agency

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, and the director of the Business Area of ​​Benidorm and representative of Obra Social 'La Caixa', María Tomasa Rives, have signed this morning a new collaboration agreement through which the entity will allocate 6,050 euros to support two programs of the Local Employment and Development Agency of Benidorm City Council.

This is the 'Program for the Promotion of Employability', for which la Caixa will contribute 4,850 euros, and the 'XIV Entrepreneur Ideas Competition', for which it will contribute 1,200 euros. On behalf of La Caixa Pepa Satorres and Fracesc Pérez have been present.

Toni Pérez stressed the involvement of La Caixa to "achieve the social welfare of the people, through employment, self-employment and support for entrepreneurship", and stressed that "it is a social work that reaches everyone, in this case the entrepreneurs and those who have good ideas. "

For her part, María Tomasa Rives emphasized the fact that "it is very important to be with entrepreneurs" and stressed the importance of "coaching workshops to dignify personal worth and open up new opportunities".

The 'Program for Promoting Employability' is a project that, with the application of "Coaching" techniques, aims to provide unemployed people over 30 years of skills and resources to implement and improve their job placement skills in the labor market, counting on the participation and advice of a professional in Labor Orientation and Intermediation. It is aimed at a total of 90 people and there will be 3 workshops throughout 2019.

The 'Entrepreneur Ideas Competition' encourages self-employment and job placement for those entrepreneurs who have a business idea that is viable and generates employment in the municipality of Benidorm. The participation of Obra Social "la Caixa" focuses on the evaluation of the projects presented, as a member of the jury, and on the financial contribution of two of the prizes in kind (Ipad and Mini Ipad) to the first and second prizes. The Valencian Institute of Tourism Technologies (INVAT-TUR), Young Entrepreneurs of the Province of Alicante (JOVEMPA), the European Center of Innovative Companies of Elche (CEEI Elche), and Women Entrepreneurs of the Marina Baixa (MEMBA) collaborate in the project. .

In addition, CaixaBank professionals will give a microcredit workshop to advise young entrepreneurs about the possibilities of financing their ideas and projects.
