A total of fourteen entrepreneurs have benefited, and will receive between 700 and 1,000 euros as a boost to start their business
The City Council has approved the first tranche of grants for the establishment of new businesses, totaling €14,000

The Local Government Board of Benidorm City Council has approved the first round of municipal aid to support the creation of new businesses and entrepreneurial projects throughout 2025, with a financial amount of €14,000. The Councillor for Employment and Local Development, Mónica Gómez, explained that these contributions are part of the aid program launched by the City Council for another year, totalling €78,500. She announced that this initial round has benefited a total of 14 new businesses, receiving between €700 and €1,000 to support their business start-up.
Mónica Gómez emphasized that the objective of these grants is to "boost economic development and job creation in our city," either through entrepreneurs who have established themselves in the last year as self-employed individuals with a tax domicile in Benidorm and are registered in the city, or through individuals who are not registered but have registered as self-employed individuals with a tax domicile in the city and have processed an opening license with Benidorm City Council between October 1, 2024, and September 30, 2025, having also started their economic activity between these dates.
Regarding the business projects that will receive this aid, the Councillor for Employment and Local Development explained that this first round covers various activities and services, which demonstrates that "Benidorm's business fabric is constantly evolving." Mónica Gómez also announced that the technical committee responsible for evaluating all applications will meet in the coming weeks to continue reviewing the proposals submitted that are still pending.
It is worth noting that last year, a total of 63 entrepreneurial projects received this municipal grant for the creation of new businesses, reaching a total of €52,500. According to the Employment Councillor, this reflects "this government's sensitivity and commitment to the local productive fabric and entrepreneurship." Along with this line of grants, Mónica Gómez also cited as an example "the various actions we carry out throughout the year through workshops, training courses, and competitions, such as the Entrepreneurial Ideas competition."
