The concert tribute to Germán Coppini, exceptional return to the scenes of Golpes Bajos

The national public dedicated to Benidorm and its Iberia Festival

13 October 2018
El público nacional entregado a Benidorm y a su Iberia Festival

The first day of Iberia Festival fulfilled what it was promised. Although the opening of the doors was scheduled for 17.30, hours before, complementary and free programming of the 'prefiestas' began to bring together hundreds of residents and tourists attracted by Spanish pop music.

Already in its official schedule, The Fly, Badlands, Jaime Urrutia, Café Quijano, Tequila and OBK knew how to satisfy a devoted audience that was increasing as the night progressed. A review of the discographies of the groups that since the eighties of last century hatched in the Spanish music scene giving rise to the phenomenon of 'La movida', still influencing the new talents of the national pop.

Thousands of people enjoyed a repertoire that left no one indifferent. A lot of youth, many families, and a lot of musical iconography from previous decades. Iberia Festival is undoubtedly a festival for all audiences that has consolidated in Benidorm and for today has reserved as a main course the reunification of the original Golpes Bajos to honor its missing leader, Germán Coppini.

But today you cannot only enjoy the reunification of Teo Cardalda, Pablo Novoa or Luis Garcia but also they will parade through the stage from 6.30 pm Perdiendo los papeles, Iberia sumergida, Coque Malla, and Danza Invisible that, starting at 1.30 am, will put the final point to one of the most interesting editions of Iberia Festival.
