Benidorm City Council, in collaboration with the event promoter and the various law enforcement agencies present in the city, is finalising the special arrangements to host a new edition of the Low Festival starting tomorrow, Friday. An attendance of approximately 23,000 people is expected for each of the three days. The Local Police Station hosted a coordination meeting for the event's health, security, and evacuation plan, chaired by the Councilor for Events and Citizen Security, Jesús Carrobles, to discuss the entire operation that will be deployed until Sunday and will include more than 200 officers, including police officers, private security guards, health workers, and more.

Jesús Carrobles announced that the event will begin tomorrow, Friday, and will continue until Sunday, July 27. As in previous years, the event will take place at the Guillermo Amor Sports City, where final work is being done on the four stages that will host the concerts of the more than 70 bands and artists that make up the lineup for this 15th anniversary of the Low Festival. Among them are renowned acts such as The Pet Shop Boys, Empire of the Sun, and The Kooks on the international scene, and Viva Suecia, Lori Meyers, Fangoria, Carolina Durante, Amaia, and Zahara, representing the Spanish brand.

The security detail will be made up of the Local Police, who will also monitor the event via drones; the National Police, Civil Protection, and private security. The latter will have a staff of approximately 140, including security guards, access controllers, assistants, coordinators, and a security director. Regarding the medical services, there will be two Advanced Life Support ambulances, two Basic Life Support ambulances, two doctors and four nurses, as well as ten emergency medical technicians (EMTs) and lifeguards for the VIP Pool, as established in the self-protection plan.

On the other hand, the Councillor for Events and Citizen Safety noted that, as usual, this operation will also include extended hours, reinforced service, and special stops for those travelling to the festival by public transport. Specifically, there will be taxi and bus stops on Avenida de Foietes and Avenida de la Libertad, while the TRAM station stop, on Avenida de Beniardá, is very close to the venue.

Regarding vehicle access, it will be restricted in the areas closest to the festival, such as Calle Capitán Cortés from Calle Guadalest and Avenida de la Libertad. For those travelling by private vehicle, the city has several park-and-ride parking lots near the venue. The closest to the Sports City are on Avenida de Beniardá, the Fairgrounds and bullring, and the one on Avenida de Puerto Rico and Avenida de la República Argentina.

The Councillor for Events noted that this entire effort "is designed to ensure that the Low Festival can once again take place with the maximum safety guarantees for attendees, artists, and staff" and emphasised that "safety and good planning are key to organising large events." Carrobles also emphasized that this festival "will once again be committed to sustainability, with measures such as reusable cups and the elimination of chemical toilets, and that it is reaching its 15th anniversary "consolidated as one of the major musical and tourist events of the summer, with a huge impact on the city, also in terms of occupancy, commerce, and hospitality."
