Strategic Plan of the Department of Equality

Basic primary social services, regulated by Law 3/2019 of February 18, of the Valencian Government, on inclusive social services in the Valencian Community, are characterised as the first point of contact for citizens, with a universal and community-based approach, and a preventive and interventionist nature, among other features. These services are regulated in Article 18.1 of Law 3/2019.

Likewise, in the aforementioned article, section g) establishes the Equality Units, which will guarantee the integration of a gender perspective, promoting participation, developing equality plans, and carrying out actions to prevent gender-based and sexist violence, among other activities, to make the principle of equality between women and men effective across all local public policies.
