Equality plan for Benidorm City Council Staff
Benidorm City Council has been betting for some time on the adoption of measures that benefit equality between Women and Men. As a recent example, we have the approval in 2016 of the II Municipal Plan for Gender Equality which, in its Strategic Line 2, aims to draft the “Equality Plan for Municipal Personnel” and the “Protocol of Action against Gender and Sexual Harassment”, both approved unanimously in municipal plenary sessions in 2018.
Thus, in compliance with the plenary mandate, the “Equality Plan for Municipal Personnel 2020-2025” has been prepared as an ordered set of measures, adopted after carrying out a diagnosis of the situation, aimed at achieving, among the Staff of the Municipal Benidorm City Council:
- Equal Opportunities between Women and Men.
- Equal Treatment between Women and Men.
- The Real Elimination of sex discrimination.
- Co-responsibility and reconciliation of work, family and personal life.
- The participation of the workforce in the preparation, execution and evaluation of this Plan, to increase the Operability and Flexibility of its measures.
- The Transversality of these measures in all areas of municipal management.
It is also important to serve as an example, as a public entity, to all the companies in the municipality so that, in turn, they carry out their own Equality Plans.
