Toni Pérez delivers 5,000 euros to Doble Amor centre for the collection of registrations in the III Solidarity Cross Campo a Través
El Moralet Park will continue to be the stage for future editions of this essential event on the local competition calendar
The mayor of Benidorm Toni Pérez, together with the mayors of Social Welfare and Sports, Ángela Llorca and Mariló Cebreros, delivered at noon, at Dole Amor Center facilities, a check for five thousand euros, with the collection of the inscriptions of the participants in the III Cross Solidario Campo a Través.
That for the benefit of Doble Amor was held on Sunday, October 30, and in which the Department of Sports and Benidorm Athletics Club collaborated, together with local firms.
Pérez has highlighted "the contribution of solidarity" towards Double Love and "the generosity" of collaborators and sponsors for the success of the test that contributes in favor of the center and its associates. At the same time, he pointed out the contribution of the 'Fila 0' and the new framework in which the test has been developed, highlighting that its incentives are "collaborating with the center, participating in the test and discovering the possibilities of the Parque de El Moralet”. A space said the mayor, "that was there and on which the City Council has developed the action of obtaining ownership of the land and its adaptation for the enjoyment of Benidorm".
Casimiro Vila Esteban, president of the Double Love Association for the Promotion of People with Intellectual Disabilities, thanked the donation and the collaboration that this year has received a substantial increase in donations thanks to the contribution of almost 500 participants, which were the 204 athletes who disputed the test after the start of the hiking march. Vila has shown his satisfaction because thanks to this test he has managed to collect even more through other initiatives developed during the test.
Benidorm Athletics Club, its president, Manuel Martínez, has highlighted the gratifying effort and the special role of El Moralet Park, asking that the test be part of the local calendar together with the space where it has been developed, ending the mayor Toni Pérez pointing out that “whenever Doble Amor wants to carry out an action in El Moralet, it will have the approval of Benidorm City Council”.
