Environment organizes talks to explain to users the new Local Burning Plan
The new regulations, which come into force on January 1, divide the municipal area into zones, each with a burning period
The Department of the Environment has organized a series of informative talks next week to explain the new Local Burning Plan to the public and especially to users. The mayor of the area, Mónica Gómez, recalled that "in the last plenary session we approved the new Local Burning Plan, which will come into force on January 1 and which includes measures to minimize the amount and extent of smoke from burning and reconcile this activity with the tourist reality of Benidorm”.
Gómez has indicated that "to make it as easy as possible to attend these talks, five sessions have been scheduled at different points in the city and at various times in the morning and afternoon."
Thus, the Assembly Hall of the City Council will host two information sessions: on Monday, November 28 and Wednesday, the 30th at 10:00. Two sessions have also been scheduled at the Casa del Llaurador in the Ermita de Sanç: Tuesday, December 29, at 10:00 a.m. and Thursday, December 1, at 7:00 p.m. The fifth and last talk will be given in the administrative extension of Els Tolls, on Friday, December 2, at 10:00.
The Councilor for the Environment has invited "people who regularly carry out agricultural burning to attend these talks and find out all the details of the new regulations" which, among other novelties, contemplates the division of the municipal area into six zones, each with a burning period.
