The plenary approves the municipal organization proposals for the next four years
The draw for the composition of the 79 polling stations on July 23 has been held
The new Municipal Corporation of Benidorm has held today the first plenary session of the legislature, in which the organization and operation of the City Council for the next four years has been established, and in which the draw for the election of the members has also been carried out of the polling stations for next July 23.
As far as the municipal organization is concerned, all the proposals submitted to this extraordinary session by the local government have been unanimously approved. Thus, the Corporation has agreed that plenary sessions be held on the last Monday of each month, preferably at 09:00. The months of August and December, if applicable, will be decided by the Board of Spokespersons. Likewise, the change of the date of celebration of the ordinary plenary session, always on a later date than expected, will be decided upon prior agreement of the same Board of Spokespersons.
The representatives of the corporation in collegiate bodies have also been unanimously appointed. Thus, in the Marina Baixa Water and Sanitation Consortium, the City Council will be represented by the councilor Ana Pellicer as head and by Aída García Mayor as a substitute; while in the Consortium for the Execution of the Forecasts of the Zonal Waste Plan the titular and substitute councilors will be Aída García Mayor and Mónica Gómez respectively. Jesús Carrobles (regular) and Aída García Mayor (substitute) will represent the City Council in the Marina Baixa Fire Fighting Service Regional Park Consortium, and Mónica Gómez will do her own at the Institut d'Ecología Litoral. This same mayor will be the representative in the Serra Gelada Natural Park.
The municipal representative in the Benidorm Red Cross Committee will be Ángela Zaragozí; in the Júcar Hydrographic Confederation, José Ramón González de Zárate; and Maite Moreno will be in the Municipal School Council and the University Consortium of the Associated Center of the UNED in Dénia.
With a unanimous vote, the remuneration and indemnities to be received by the members of the Corporation have been approved, which will be identical to those of the 2019-2023 administrative period. Thus, the mayor will have recognized the legal regime of exclusive dedication, receiving as compensation the one established in the annual State Budget laws -for a city with the volume of population of Benidorm- with a reduction of 5%. The councilors of the government team with exclusive dedication (13) will receive the remuneration set for the mayor with a reduction of 30%; while the reduction will be 55% for the opposition councilors exclusively (2 from the PSOE).
The rest of the councilors will receive 275 euros for attending plenary sessions and 110 euros for the information commissions. The spokespersons of the political groups will receive 187.11 euros and the deputy spokespersons 140.33 euros. As in the previous legislature, both the Boards of Spokespersons, the Governing Board, and attendance at sessions of Boards, Councils, Courts, and other municipal collegiate bodies will not be remunerated.
Also unanimously, the designation of a total of 12 jobs for temporary personnel has prospered, as well as their remuneration.
In addition, the creation and composition of the permanent information commissions have been approved: the Treasury Commission, the Town Planning Commission, the Socio-Cultural and Tourism Commission, the Internal Regime Commission, and the Special Accounts Commission. The 25 councilors of the Corporation will be part of them: 16 from the municipal group of the Popular Party, 8 from the socialist group, and 1 from Vox.
Likewise, it has been noticed the appointment of the deputy mayors and the delegations that each councilor of the government team already holds, both issues advanced last Tuesday by the mayor, Toni Pérez. The delegations and members of the Local Government Board and the delegation of sanctioning power to the Councilor for Citizen Security have also been informed.
In the same way, the constitution of the political groups has been realized, as well as the designation of spokespersons and deputies that remains as follows:
