The Association of Housewives of Benidorm celebrates the end of the course with a great festival
The Association of Housewives of Benidorm celebrated yesterday afternoon the traditional end-of-year festival, an act that took place in the Assembly Hall of the Town Hall in which the leading role was for good humor, music, and their own members of the association who had a great time. With them were the Councilor for Equality and Social Welfare, Ángela Zaragozí, and members of the local government team.
The festival began with a presentation by María Ángeles Vergara who took stock of the year and named some projects carried out such as "the collaboration with the Cartagena Choir." “We want to continue doing things because it makes us feel useful,” she said before thanking “all the people who have come to hold conferences, classes, or workshops throughout this year.”
After these words, Marga performed two songs –Rojo clavel and Están clavada dos cruces- which gave way to a demonstration of seated gymnastics by Fina Orts and women members of the association.
Then it was time for the association's 'Canfali' choir which, conducted by José Francisco Rovira, performed various songs by Nino Bravo and the Dúo Dinámico and others are known as 'Soledad', 'En Benidorm la meua mar', 'La Calesera ' or 'My way' to close the act with the piece 'Under the sky of Benidorm'.
The festival ended with the delivery of a gift to Ángela Llorca, the outgoing Councilor for Social Welfare, from Vicenta Pérez Espasa 'Vini', president of the Housewives and María Ángeles Vergara.
