The Opinion Club brings "food science" to Benidorm in its XV Conference Cycle
The Assembly Hall of Benidorm City Hall has hosted the conference "Food Science: importance for the productive sector and Society" given by Amparo López Rubio, within the fifteenth cycle of conferences of the Benidorm Opinion Club.
Amparo López Rubio has a Ph.D. in Food Science and Technology from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV) and develops her specialty at the Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology (IATA) belonging to the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC).
The acting mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, along with those also acting, first deputy mayor, Ana Pellicer, and Councilor for Education, Maite Moreno, and other members of the corporation, have followed the dissertation of the speaker who has made a tour of her life trajectory and has addressed the reasons that led her to be one of the most prestigious scientists in the country and of recognized international prestige.
López Rubio focused her dissertation on the subject that she is most passionate about, research into the knowledge of the structure and functionality of ingredients and materials for food use. In this sense, it should be noted that the researcher has published more than 140 scientific articles in indexed journals, various patents, books, and presentations at specialized conferences.
