It will be zero cost for the municipal coffers and will also allow to renew the urban scene of the affected streets
A new transformer at Els Tolls will prevent future power outages
Els Tolls neighborhood in Benidorm will have a new electricity supply transformer to prevent power outages such as those that occurred days ago during Christmas holidays. This has been announced today by the Councilor for Works and Public Space, José Ramón González de Zárate.
The councillor has indicated that the City Council transferred the situation caused by the failure of the service to the supplier company, Iberdrola and that it will assume the cost of installing a new transformer that will be "ringed" with the current one to reinforce power district power. The management has been the result of an agreement signed by the Municipal Corporation and the electricity company.
The councillor has clarified that "ring" supposes that the light is distributed "by the two transformation centers" so that, unless it was for an emergency or that both were out of service, "it will be very difficult" that in successive new supply cuts occur in the neighborhood.
The first transformer will be on Italia Street, the new one on Islandia Street. In order to carry out the ringing operation through the subsoil, Iberdrola has requested the work permit, which will later allow the renovation of one of the sidewalks on Italia, Noruega, Grecia and Finlandia streets, taking advantage of the work being carried out. The Municipal Technical Services will work leaving "practically accessible and renewed" the entire urban scene in this area of Els Tolls.
