Mónica Gómez recalls that one of the objectives of Employment is "to promote the labor insertion of disadvantaged groups"
Benidorm will request a grant of 143,677 euros from LABORA for the hiring of eight people with disabilities for nine months
Benidorm City Council, through the Department of Employment and Local Promotion, will request a subsidy of 143,677.83 euros from the Valencian Employment and Training Service (LABORA) for the hiring of eight unemployed people with disabilities, a request that will be approved by the Board of Local Government. The duration of the contracts will be nine months.
The Councilor for Employment, Mónica Gómez, recalled that her department has among its objectives "to promote the employment of disadvantaged groups, as well as to contribute to the access of the unemployed to the labor market."
Gómez added that "with this type of program we contribute to improving the employability of people with disabilities, who are usually the ones who have the greatest difficulties when accessing the labor market."
The beneficiaries of this program are unemployed people with disabilities who are registered as job seekers in the Espais LABORA of the Generalitat. By the bases, a person with a disability is understood to be that affected by a recognized degree of disability equal to or greater than 33%, as well as Social Security pensioners who have a recognized total, absolute, or severe permanent disability pension; and passive class pensioners who have a recognized retirement or retirement pension for permanent disability for service.
The bases also establish that the contracts that are formalized must have a duration of at least nine months full-time.
