Benidorm Retirees and Pensioners Association resumes its travel program
Shortly before noon the six buses that make up the expedition of Benidorm Retirees Association departed from Foietes Park to Jumilla, which, in this way, resumes its excursion program after the forced parenthesis caused by the pandemic.
On this occasion, 305 members have signed up for the experience: a recreational trip to the Murcian town of Jumilla for which each one has paid 15 euros. The price includes trips and the brotherhood meal in one of the best places in the city.
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, along with the mayor of Social Welfare, Ángela Llorca, have approached the Foietes Park to bid farewell to the Benidorm Retirees and Pensioners Association in this new stage and have shared with its president, Alfonso López , on behalf of the entire Municipal Corporation, the wish that the desired normality can soon be achieved.
López, for his part, pointed out that the association, founded in 2013, was encouraged to organize these recreational trips “five years ago, with two per year. One in April and one in December ”and that, on previous occasions,“ more than 10 buses have been filled ”. To be part of the entity, people must be retired or pensioners and pay an annual fee of only 10 euros. Benidorm Retirees and Pensioners Association currently has more than 3,300 members.
