Once the deadline is open and for a period of 20 days, anyone can contribute suggestions and proposals
Benidorm opens a preliminary public consultation for the drafting of the Catalogue of Protected Assets and Spaces

Thus the City Council is deepening the preservation of the local historical heritage in the last decade.
Benidorm City Council is launching a public consultation for the drafting of the Catalogue of Protected Assets and Spaces. The Councilor for Urban Planning, Lourdes Caselles, explained that "this is a process of citizenship participation before the preparation of this document, which follows various negotiations with the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage of the Generalitat Valenciana (Generalitat Valenciana), and in which a specialized external team is already involved." This team, she clarified, "is not starting from scratch, as it is working from the City Council's existing heritage records, which are already being implemented."
Caselles indicated that "the prior consultation will be available in the coming days on the Notice Board of the e-office." Once the consultation is open, and for 20 business days, "anyone who wishes to do so may send us their suggestions and proposals for possible properties to be included in the catalogue," which will also highlight recent buildings and constructions. These suggestions "will serve to guide the City Council and the drafting team regarding public concerns" regarding heritage issues.
The head of Urban Planning emphasized that "with this public consultation, we are making progress toward the ultimate goal of producing a rigorous, comprehensive, and realistic technical document, and we are doing so by involving and giving voice to the public to enrich this heritage protection plan." A plan, she emphasized, with which "we are delving into the preservation of local historical heritage, which has been a key theme over the last ten years."
The head of Historical and Cultural Heritage, Ana Pellicer, emphasized that "never before in Benidorm's history has paid so much interest and care to our heritage as in the last decade, during which such important projects have been carried out as the consolidation and restoration of Torre de les Caletes; the successive excavation campaigns and museumization of the castellum of Tossal de la Cala; and the archaeological intervention in El Castell, which has allowed the remains of the ancient fortress to emerge." Furthermore, "we have also tackled the rehabilitation of l'Hort de Colón, which has, in turn, allowed us to recover this space for cultural activities."
"With this Catalogue of Assets, we put into writing our commitment to the recovery, preservation, and enhancement of our heritage," she concluded.
