Benidorm commemorates the International Day against Breast Cancer with the reading of a manifesto and a great human bond in the Playa de Levante
The self-help group for women with breast cancer of the Marina Baixa, Anémona, in collaboration with the Department of Equality, has celebrated the International Day against Breast Cancer, with several activities whose main objective is to raise awareness of the population about this disease. This afternoon El Torrejó square was the scene of the reading of a manifesto by the councilor of Equality, Paquita Ripoll.
Previously they also dedicated a few words to the attendees, the president of Anémona, Maria Botella, as well as the queens of the Patron Saint Festivities Anna Galiana Pérez and Àngela Antón Pérez, whose speeches were also very emotional.
After that there was a release of pink balloons and a great human bond was formed on the beach of Levante with a wide representation of the municipal corporation, headed by the mayor Toni Pérez.
The events will be closed next Sunday with the XV Solidarity March which will be at 10.00h in the SSMM los Reyes de España square and will cover 10 km until you reach Bilbao Avenue, where there will be tastings of rice, bar at popular prices and Zumba. The donation will be € 6 with the delivery of a commemorative t-shirt, water and fruit.
