Benidorm celebrates on Monday the World Mental Health Day with a series of events organized by the Association of Families of Mental Illnesses (AFEM) Marina Baixa, which have started at 10.00 am, at Plaza of de SS MM los Reyes de España, with the installation of a petitoria table in front of the front door of the City Hall. The event is part of the Mental Health Week which began last Monday, October 3, in which collaborate the department of Social Welfare of Benidorm City Hall. Shortly after noon, the Cultural Manchego 'Tramontana' Association has "sung" a manifesto to commemorate the anniversary, in a meeting which was attended by the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez; the councillor for Social Welfare, Angela Llorca; Emergency provincial deputies, Architecture and General Services, Jaume Lloret; and Welfare of Persons and Social Welfare, Miguel Zaragoza; members of all local groups; Afem president, Consuelo Muro and the general public. The celebration continued with a demonstration of birds of prey and the symbolic release of balloons at the square. Later it is scheduled a solidarity meal, and in the afternoon, in the Assembly Hall of the City Hall, the representation of the play 'Inténtalo', by Manuel Palazón with which will end the Week Mental Health 2016 in Benidorm.
