Benidorm City Hall has called this morning a minute of silence at Plaza de SS MM los Reyes de España to condemn the latest murder by male violence, which occurred in Arévalo (Ávila), on Friday morning, October 7, in which a 32-year-old was beheaded allegedly by her ex-partner and has raised to 33 the number of women killed by this social scourge so far this year. With the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez and the mayor of Equality, Angela Llorca, at the head, the municipal corporation, officials and neighbors have shown their solidarity with the families of the victims and demanded, once again, the cessation of violence against women. Angela Llorca has said it is necessary " preventive and educational policies to support women, and protecting victims to eradicate gender violence". She also recalled the existence of the phone 016 against gender violence, a number that leaves no trace on the phone bill.
