“Benidorm”, the Antena 3 series, selected at the MIP in Cannes
'Benidorm', the new Atresmedia Televisión series and one of Antena 3's upcoming fiction bets, has been chosen among the twelve series that will be part of the MIP Drama Buyers Summit, to be held in Cannes, from March 30 to 2 of April.
MIPTV, the global content market for the future, is one of the most prestigious international showcases for television production and distribution. It will show up to more than 400 purchasing executives, from more than one hundred countries, in first.
In the series ‘Benidorm’, which began its recordings last November, the city itself is the epicenter of filming, which takes place entirely in real locations. In it, the actors Antonio Pagudo and María Almudéver are the protagonists, along with Antonio Resines, Gorka Aguinagalde, Pablo Derqui, Andoni Agirregomezkorta, Pilar Bergés, Lilian Caro, Ton Vieira, Kiko Gutierrez and Inma Ochoa, among others.
‘Benidorm’ is a television series created by César Benítez, Fernando Sancristóbal and Jon de la Cuesta. Sonia Martinez, Emilio Amaré, Fernando Sancristóbal and César Benítez himself are the executive producers of this new series of Antena 3. Jacobo Martos and Miguel Conde will be the directors of 'Benidorm', while Jon de la Cuesta will lead the team script. The series is produced by Atresmedia Televisión, in collaboration with Plano a Plano, and will be broadcast in the prime time of Antena 3. It will also be available on ATRESplayer PREMIUM, the payment platform of Atresmedia Group.
