The Councilor for Beaches today collected the badge from the regional Secretary of Tourism

The rescue and cleaning devices for the sandbanks already work in maximum numbers for the high season

One more year all the beaches and coves of Benidorm have renewed the Qualitur flag that certifies their tourist excellence. The acting Councilor for Beaches, Mónica Gómez, has collected this badge today from the acting regional Secretary of Tourism, Francesc Colomer, at a ceremony held in Dénia.
Gómez has indicated that this badge, promoted by Turisme Comunitat Valenciana, "is awarded to beaches and coves that meet the parameters of environmental quality and service provision contained in ISO 9001 and 14001 standards." It is, he explained, "highly demanding quality parameters and certifications that value the quality and cleanliness of our waters and sand and all the services provided on our beaches that, once again, are once again a benchmark for management and excellence".

In this regard, she has stated that “in Benidorm, we take the management of our beaches very seriously, because they are our main tourist attraction and a unique natural and environmental asset; and badges such as this Qualitur flag, such as the EMAS regulation and the demanding 'Q' for Quality or the 'S' for Sustainability granted by ICTE come to certify the quality and endorse the constant and conscientious work that is carried out throughout the year ”.

Thus, she recalled that "Benidorm's beaches are one of the few that has a cleaning and rescue service at the national level twelve months a year, modulating human and material resources at all times depending on the needs and demand".

In fact, at this time, "our beaches and coves are already working with the devices typical of summer", with around a hundred troops. The three accessible beach points and the three beach libraries are also operating at full capacity.

In the coming days, the Qualitur flags will be raised on the Levante, Poniente, and Mal Pas beaches, and in the Ti Ximo and l'Almadrava coves.
